Overview
New Tech is looking for skilled EDM Operator to set up, maintain and operate machinery. A great candidate should be reliable, have a willingness to learn and improve. Responsibilities
- Set-up and run wire EDM machine
- Control and adjust machine settings
- Inspect parts with precision measuring tools
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift
- Meet job requirements with minimal supervision
Requirements
- 1 years working in machine shop environment
- Working knowledge of Wire EDM machines and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
- Understanding of machining procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and manuals
- Strong Mathematical Skills
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina and strength
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
Preferred, but not required skills
- Experience in aerospace industry
- Programming experience on cad system
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
