What are the responsibilities and job description for the Remediation Field Technician position at New Tech Global?
New Tech Global is seeking a staff scientist in our Carlsbad, Texas office. The ideal candidate will be able work in a small team environment and help promote growth by performing quality work and providing excellent service to our clients.
Environmental specializes in serving oil and gas companies throughout the United States by delivering sound scientific analysis and strategic, sustainable solutions to operator’s environmental and regulatory requirements. Our priority is to meet those requirements, manage liabilities, and minimize costs over the lifecycle of a project.
Overview
Conducts field activities, frequently requiring overnight travel, as assigned by Project Managers including, but not limited to:
- Inspection and auditing of facilities to evaluate compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Sampling of environmental media including soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air and waste.
- Experience with infrared cameras a plus.
- Gather, compile, and present data as a project team member or independently under supervision, for review by a project manager.
- Generates assigned portions of project reports or other deliverables subject to review and approval, for submittal to a client and/or regulatory agency.
- Procures and uses field instrumentation and equipment during inspection, assessment, and/or remediation activities.
- Communicates job requirements to subcontractors and provides oversight during field activities.
- Works within a defined scope, schedule, and budget; communicates effectively with project managers.
- Documents field activities as specified in standard operating procedures and assists in the generation of technical reports.
- Keeps current on knowledge of environmental and regulatory compliance requirements and sampling protocols in accordance with industry standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Performs all work in adherence to health and safety policies.
Requirements
- Associates or B.S. Degree from an accredited institution.
- Non-degreed must have at least 3 years of related experience.
- Remediation experience required.
- Oil and gas experience preferred.
- Capable of working independently in remote locations as well as in a team
- Background in New Mexico environmental regulations and practices,
- Ability to exert moderate physical effort, including the ability to lift 50 lbs in adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
- OSHA 40-hour Health & Safety training (preferred)
- Adult CPR/First Aid/CPR Certified (preferred)
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
