What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cost Estimator position at New Tech Global?
NTG Staffing is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator on a Direct Hire basis for a client in Houston.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5 years of experience in estimating, preferably within dredging, marine construction, civil construction, or a related industry.
- Experience preparing complex hard-bid estimates for large-scale projects ($25M preferred).
- Ability to interpret contracts, plans, specifications, and bid requirements.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimating, bid preparation, project budgets, and construction processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; experience with Power BI or similar analytical tools preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate with operations, project management, and leadership teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Hybrid schedule: 4 days in office / 1 day remote.
Salary : $110,000 - $125,000
