Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Hospital Administrator at a Veterinary Hospital (Confidential) located in Sacramento, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
● Serve as the hospital’s operational executive, translating strategy into day-to-day execution
● Lead complex staffing models, multi-departmental workflows, and high-volume operations
● Partner with your Clinical Director and Operations leadership to set annual priorities
● Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Financial & Business Management
● Own full P&L performance for the hospital
● Drive revenue growth, cost management, forecasting, and labor optimization
● Lead inventory, vendor partnerships, contract management, and capital planning
● Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through KPI analysis and weekly reviews
People Leadership & Development
● Oversee the development of all teams, including our DVMs alongside our Clinical Directors
● Build a strong bench through hiring, coaching, and succession planning
● Drive accountability through clear expectations, performance management, and real-time feedback
● Foster a culture that prioritizes teamwork, psychological safety, and service excellence Client & Community Engagement
● Ensure an exceptional client experience across all touchpoints
● Implement client-focused initiatives that elevate satisfaction and retention
● Represent the hospital within the local community and referral networks
Change Leadership & Innovation
● Introduce systems, workflows, and technologies that enhance operational efficiency
● Champion process improvements and organizational initiatives across the hospital
● Help integrate new medical offerings, service models, and hospital programs

Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Hospital Operations and Hospital Management, with the ability to manage complex healthcare environments effectively.
- Proficiency in providing high-quality Customer Service and exceptional Communication skills to collaborate with staff, patients, and external stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of Medicine and healthcare best practices.
- Proven leadership abilities and team management experience.
- Ability to develop and implement hospital policies to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance.
- Experience with budget management and strategic planning in a healthcare environment is considered an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
