Job Description -
1. Counselor for grades PK - 5th grade
2. 504 Coordinator for Elementary Campus, including facilitating 504 meetings to ensure timeliness and compliance
3. Assist with Special Education meetings when needed
4, Assistant Testing Coordinator for Elementary Campus with State and Local Assessments.
5. Provide Character Education lessons daily for Elementary Campus during rotations.
6. Provide support to students at the Elementary Campus with Mental Health issues.
7. Begin a student leadership group at the Elementary Campus
8. Communicate with campus administrators any reporting requirements regarding CPS or TEA.
Consultation
1. Responsible for all counseling of Elementary Students (Grades 5th and below)
2. Consult parents, teachers, administrators, and other relevant people to enhance their work with students
3. Work with school personnel and school district residents to obtain resources for students
4. Use an effective referral process to help students and others use special programs and services
Assessment
1. Participate in planning and evaluation of campus standardized testing programs
2. Interpret tests and other appraisal results appropriately
Program Management
1. Plan school guidance and counseling programs to ensure that they meet identified needs
2. Develop and coordinate a continuing evaluation of guidance programs and make changes based on findings
3. Compile, maintain, and file all required physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents
4. Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply assessment data
5. Ability to coordinate district functions
6. Ability to implement policy and procedures
7. Other duties as assigned

1. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
2. Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
3. Ability to present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations to students, parents, and district staff
