Role Description
This full-time hybrid role as a Mortgage Loan Officer is based in Beaufort, SC, with flexibility for some remote work. The Mortgage Loan Officer will assist clients in securing suitable mortgage products by evaluating financial information, providing guidance, and ensuring compliance with underwriting standards. Responsibilities include processing loan applications, maintaining strong customer relationships, providing exceptional service, and collaborating with team members to meet customer needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in the roles of Loan Officers and knowledge of the Mortgage Industry
- Proficiency in Mortgage Lending processes and understanding of Underwriting standards
- Strong Customer Service skills combined with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both collaboratively in a team setting and independently within a hybrid work environment
- Knowledge of applicable compliance and regulatory guidelines in the mortgage industry
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred
- Active NMLS license or capability to obtain one is required
