Position Overview

New Spirit Recovery LLC is seeking a high-performing, results-driven National Business Development Representative to aggressively expand our referral network and drive program growth across the United States.

This is a true sales role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment and knows how to build, develop, and convert professional relationships into consistent referral activity. The right candidate operates with urgency, accountability, and full ownership of their pipeline.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute a high-impact business development strategy to expand and maintain a national referral network and increase program visibility
  • Build, manage, and grow a book of business consisting of high-value referral partners, including:
  • Hospitals and discharge planners
  • Behavioral health providers and therapists
  • Substance use treatment programs and step-down providers
  • Interventionists, case managers, and EAPs
  • Sober living and recovery community partners
  • Perform high-volume outreach weekly, including:
  • Cold calls, warm follow-ups, and reactivation of inactive accounts
  • Scheduling and conducting virtual and in-person meetings
  • Consistent follow-up to build and maintain referral relationships
  • Own and manage your pipeline from first contact through placement:
  • Track all outreach and referral activity in Salesforce and call tracking systems
  • Maintain strong follow-up cadence with referral sources
  • Collaborate closely with admissions and clinical teams to facilitate appropriate client placements
  • Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to penetrate new markets and expand referral channels
  • Maintain a metrics-driven workflow, including:
  • Daily/weekly outreach activity (calls, meetings, follow-ups)
  • Call tracking metrics and performance accountability
  • Referral partner development and pipeline engagement
  • Cultivate and strengthen top-producing referral relationships to drive consistent, long-term referral activity
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
  • Represent New Spirit Recovery LLC professionally in:
  • Hospitals and healthcare systems
  • Behavioral health and treatment settings
  • Industry and networking events
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA, compliance standards, and ethical business practices

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or healthcare business development
  • Proven ability to succeed in a high-activity, performance-driven sales environment
  • Strong “hunter” mentality with the ability to build, develop, and convert relationships into referral activity
  • Understanding of dual diagnosis treatment and levels of care (detox, residential, PHP, IOP)
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline using Salesforce or similar CRM systems
  • Excellent communication, follow-up, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple referral sources simultaneously
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and results-oriented
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

This role is focused on ethical relationship development and appropriate client placement. Any form of inducement or improper referral activity is strictly prohibited.
