Job Summary
- Compile and maintain carrier/vendor settlement records - carrier invoices, rate confirmations, and proof of delivery (POD).
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies (detention, lumper, accessorial costs).
- Communicate with carriers regarding settlement questions and payment status.
- Maintain accurate records in the TMS and accounting system.
- Support month-end reporting and process improvements.
General Accountabilities
- Applies appropriate multi-sources of information toward carrier and vendor settlement preparation.
- Analyzes vendor status.
- Compiles and uses appropriate reports.
- Maintains accounts payable/carrier files.
- Prepares analysis of accounts.
- Answers vendor/carrier/ management inquiries.
- Assists with monthly closings.
- Maintains all documentation pertaining to vendor files.
- Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
Job Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, billing, or logistics preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with TMS/ERP systems a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
