Bakers

New Skete Management, LLC oversees the operations of a Christian Monastic Community in Cambridge, NY. The Nuns of New Skete are famous for their world-class cheesecake and other baked goods. New Skete offers a relaxed and friendly work environment that is truly unique.

We are currently seeking part time Bakers to help to work at New Skete Kitchens. In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, packing online orders, working the gift shop, and working in the bakery as needed. Light housekeeping and assisting in the daily running of the monastery are also tasks you will be expected to handle. Training comes on the job, so no prior experience is necessary.

The schedule would generally be 3 weekdays and at least 1 Saturday a month (often more), so weekends are a must. Hours will increase during the holiday season and decrease during the summer months. If you are flexible, we can be to, and this is a great role for you.

To be considered for this role, you will have a high school diploma. You must be able to speak and read English, and have reliable transportation for all seasons. You must also need to meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 40 lbs regularly, and be able to stand on your feet for the length of your shift.
