Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of wok-based dishes with precision and consistency, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and maintaining high morale
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste
- Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and sanitation standards
- Plan menus that highlight authentic flavors while accommodating dietary restrictions and customer preferences
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely food service during peak hours and special events
- Monitor kitchen operations during shifts, managing workflow efficiently to meet quality and service standards
- Train new team members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and customer service expectations
- Assist in catering events, banquet functions, and large-scale food production projects as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, equipment, and storage spaces
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Wok Chef or similar role within Asian cuisine or fine dining establishments
- Supervising experience with strong team management skills
- Background in banquet catering, food production, or dietary department work preferred
- Knowledge of inventory management, food safety regulations, and kitchen operations
- Excellent culinary skills with expertise in wok cooking techniques and menu planning
