Position Summary
Seminole Masonry, LLC is seeking a skilled Certified Welder to join our Florida operations. The Welder will perform welding and erection of precast products on projects across various worksites (This is NOT a shop position). This position requires frequent travel and a strong background in construction environments and erection.
Local candidates in Central Florida required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform Stick, MIG, and TIG welding on precast concrete.
- Operate boom lifts and other construction equipment safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
- Conduct inspections of welds and materials to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate with site supervisors, crew members, and other departments to complete projects on schedule.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Other duties assigned
Qualifications
- Current welding certification (required).
- 2–5 years of experience in construction or industrial environments.
- Experience in precast concrete or structural steel erection (preferred).
- Proficiency in Stick, MIG, and TIG welding.
- Ability to operate boom lifts and work at heights
- Reliable transportation required.
- Ability to travel 50–75% of the time based on project assignments.
- Local candidates in Central Florida required.
- No relocation assistance available.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Post-secondary training or technical certification in welding (preferred).
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Regular exposure to outdoor construction sites, dust, noise, and heavy equipment.
- Ability to lift or push up to 75 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
