Bilingual Therapist (Spanish)

Provide individual group, and family mental health therapy within a structured day treatment intensive program for young adults (typically ages 18-30) with moderate to severe mental health diagnosis. Deliver evidence-based interventions, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, develop treatment plans, monitor progress, and support recovery, skills building,, and community integration. 

Position Details:

  • Location: Palmdale
  • Full-Time 10:00 - 7:00

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake assessments, biopsychological evaluations, and diagnostic assessments for program eligible young adults
  • Develop, document and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, update regularly
  • Provide individual psychotherapy (CBT, DBT, ACT. trauma informed approaches as appropriate) and co-facilitate daily therapeutic groups (psychoeducation, skills training, emotion regulation, relapse prevention, social/occupational functioning)
  • Deliver crisis intervention and safety planning assess and manage risk (suicidality, self- harm, aggression)
  • Coordinate care with psychiatrists, case managers, nurses, peer specialists, vocational/educational supports, and external providers
  • Communicate with families/support systems, conduct family sessions when appropriate and provide psychoeducation
  • Track clinical outcomes and progress using program metrics and standardized measures, contribute to continuous quality improvement
  • Maintain timely, accurate, clinical documentation in electronic health records and adhere to confidentiality/HIPPA Standards
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, clinical supervision and staff training
  • Support discharge planning and step-down care coordination (outpatient therapy, community resources, housing, employment/education referrals)
  • Promote a recovery-oriented, culturally responsive, and trauma informed environment


Qualifications:

  • Bilingual Spanish Speaking.
  • Master’s degree in psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work.
  • Pre-Licensure or license eligible in CA (ACSW, APCC, AMFT, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience providing therapy to young adults or adults with serious mental health diagnosis, prior experience in an intensive/day program, partial hospitalization, or residential setting preferred.
  • Knowledge and application of evidence-based modalities (e.g. CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed care)
  • Demonstrated skills in group facilitation, crisis intervention, and safety planning.
  • Strong documentation and electronic health record proficiency
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate effectively with clients, families, and community partners.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.

The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of Help Group. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, professional and academic experience, certification, training, responsibilities of the position, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
