What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Front Counter / Customer Service Associate position at New Rochelle Prescription Center?
We are seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused individual to join our pharmacy team as a Front Counter / Customer Service Associate.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, attentive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. Previous pharmacy, retail, or customer service experience is preferred; however, we are willing to provide training to the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Process customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
- Assist customers with prescription pickup and general store inquiries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front counter and retail area
- Stock, organize, and monitor merchandise as needed
- Assist with inventory and general daily pharmacy operations
- Maintain patient and customer confidentiality
- Work closely with pharmacists, technicians, and other staff members
- Provide a high level of customer service at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous pharmacy, retail, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, courteous, and dependable
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer and point-of-sale experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Experience: Preferred, but training is available for the right candidate
Compensation: Competitive and based on experience
