Also complies with all Policies and Standards.Summary of Core Responsibilities:Possess thorough and accurate knowledge in field/discipline of EnglishDemonstrate ability to relate and work effectively with students, peers and the public.Commit to the mission and objectives of New River Community and Technical College.Meet the academic demands of the program.Be available to teach afternoon and evening coursesBe accessible and responsive to students through e-mail, phone, or scheduled office hours or at other times.Design courses in D2L BrightspaceMeet classes as scheduled.Evaluate student work and maintain accurate records of students academic standing.Provide students with constructive, encouraging, and corrective feedback in a timely manner.Evaluate student performance weekly, at mid-term and at the end of the semester using the appropriate course evaluation tool.
