Job Description:
New Riegel Local Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Long-Term Substitute Teacher for our Primary Special Education Resource Room. This position will provide support for students with diverse learning needs in grades K–3, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment. The long-term substitute will implement individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborate with general education teachers, and support students in achieving academic and social-emotional goals.
Responsibilities:
Provide instruction and support in the primary special education resource room.
Implement IEPs with fidelity and track student progress.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and administration.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior.
Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
Valid Ohio teaching license in Special Education (K–3 preferred).
Experience working with primary-aged students in a special education setting.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs.
