We are looking for a Worship Director who is passionate about leading people in worship, developing others, and creating worship environments that are both spiritually meaningful and musically excellent.
Job Summary
The Worship Director oversees and coordinates the creative environments at New Post Church. This person is responsible for leading worship services, developing the worship team, coordinating rehearsals, and working with the Lead Pastor to plan and execute worship experiences.
This role is ideal for someone who loves both worship ministry and people development—someone who can lead from the stage while also investing in the people behind it.
Responsibilities
- Lead worship during New Post Church services as scheduled.
- Work with the Lead Pastor to plan and implement worship services, worship nights, and special services.
- Lead, disciple, and develop Worship Leaders and other members of the worship team.
- Plan and lead weekly band rehearsals.
- Coach and mentor vocalists and instrumentalists in both spiritual growth and musical development.
- Help identify and onboard new members of the worship team.
- Maintain consistent weekly communication with worship team members regarding schedules, preparation, and service details.
- Participate in service huddles and make adjustments to help create excellent worship experiences.
- Provide accountability, pastoral care, prayer, and discipleship for worship team members.
- Continually work to improve the musicianship and effectiveness of the worship team.
- Attend required church-wide events throughout the year.
- Participate in monthly Team Leader meetings.
- Model New Post Church's values and culture in all areas of ministry.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of worship-leading experience in a local church.
- Proficiency in voice or a musical instrument.
- Ability to create, coordinate, and lead a worship experience with a team.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Highly self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to prioritize and execute responsibilities effectively.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Planning Center Online.
- Positive attitude and a genuine heart for serving others.
- Willingness to embrace New Post Church's mission and values.
