New Point Life Services is hiring compassionate and dependable team members to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Whether you're a student, working a second job, or simply looking for flexible hours, this position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships while helping others live independently.

Every shift provides an opportunity to encourage confidence, independence, and community inclusion.

Flexible Part-Time Shifts

Choose from a variety of available schedules, including:

Morning Shifts: 5:00 AM – 9:00 AM

Evening Shifts: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Day Shifts: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Weekdays & Weekends)

Part-time schedules range from 20–34 hours per week.

Additional hours may be available based on program needs.

What You'll Do

As a Residential Support Specialist, you'll provide person-centered support that helps individuals build confidence and live as independently as possible.

Responsibilities include:

Provide individualized support according to each Individual Support Plan (ISP)

Assist with personal care, hygiene, dressing, and daily routines

Support meal preparation and healthy living habits

Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and home organization

Transport individuals safely to appointments and community activities

Encourage independence, decision-making, and life skills development

Administer medications following agency procedures

Complete electronic documentation and daily progress notes

Observe and report changes in health, behavior, or overall well-being

Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment

Participate in required meetings and ongoing training

Qualifications

Preferred

High School Diploma or GED

One year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities

Active Virginia CNA, NA, or PCA certification
