What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Title I Reading Tutor position at New Philadelphia City School District?
The New Philadelphia City Schools is seeking a Reading Tutor at York Elementary for the 2025-2026 school year.
The successful candidate must meet one or more of the following qualifications:
The successful applicant will be awarded a one year contract and will be responsible to provide small group intervention to students at York Elementary.
This is a part-time positions for 5.75/hrs each day, Monday through. Friday. The position does not include health insurance benefits.
The successful candidate must meet one or more of the following qualifications:
- Have a K-12 reading endorsement
- Completed a master's degree with a major in reading or literacy
- Earned a passing score on a rigorous test of principles of scientifically research-based reading instruction (Praxis 5205-formerly Praxis 5203)
- Holds an applicable license (PK-3, 4-9, or K-12 intervention specialist) issued on or after July 1, 2017
