The vice president, clinical and compliance (VPCC) serves as the enterprise leader responsible for aligning clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and data-informed decision-making across New Perspective Senior Living. This role extends beyond traditional clinical oversight to integrate clinical operations, regulatory strategy, compliance infrastructure, and clinical data intelligence into a unified operating model that improves resident outcomes, supports team members, and drives net operating income (NOI).
The VPCC provides strategic and operational leadership to clinical teams while partnering cross-functionally with operations, innovation, IT, and external partners to ensure that clinical care delivery, compliance programs, and supporting technologies are tightly aligned.
This individual plays a critical role in:
- Translating clinical and regulatory requirements into scalable systems, workflows, and policies
- Driving survey readiness and risk mitigation across all communities
- Advancing clinical data integration and interoperability across platforms (EHR, falls detection, engagement, visitation, etc.)
- Supporting value-based care initiatives and outcome measurement
- Ensuring the organization maintains a strong and defensible compliance and privacy posture

RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Leadership and Operational Excellence
- Provide enterprise leadership, oversight, and direction to licensed nurses and clinical leaders across communities, developing clinical leaders across the organization
- Own enterprise-level clinical and compliance performance, including trends, risks, and strategic improvement initiatives
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality resident care through standardized clinical practices and continuous performance monitoring
- Lead development, revision, and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and standards
- Collaborate with operations leaders to drive improvements in resident outcomes, length of stay, hospitalizations and transfers, resident satisfaction and retention
- Lead resolution of escalated clinical issues through cross-functional collaboration
- Support a “survey ready” environment across the organization, with strong performance on surveys, audits, and internal quality reviews
- Provide mentorship and development for regional and community clinical leaders
- Collaborate with human resources on recruitment, development, and retention of clinical leaders
- Partner with resident experience leadership to align clinical practices with the resident experience and life engagement programs
Compliance, Regulatory and Risk Management
- Lead the organization’s regulatory compliance strategy, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations
- Oversee survey readiness, deficiency response, and corrective action processes across communities
- Partner with senior leadership to interpret regulatory changes, operationalize requirements into policies and procedures, and ensure consistent execution across communities
- Establish and maintain systems for proactive risk identification and mitigation
- Immediately follow up on reports of suspected or alleged maltreatment in accordance with policies and applicable law
- Ensure strong documentation practices and defensibility of care delivery
- Oversee the licensed nurse delegation program across communities, ensuring state-specific compliance with delegation requirements and supporting team member competency development
Clinical Systems, Data and Informatics
- Serve as a bridge between clinical and business operations and technology systems, ensuring tools support care delivery and compliance
- Provide strategic oversight and direction for electronic health records (EHR) and medication administration (eMAR), with August Health as the company's core clinical platform, including implementation, optimization, and adoption across communities
- Partner with technology and operations leadership to integrate clinical data into the enterprise data lake (Skypoint), enable reporting, dashboards, and predictive insights
- Identify opportunities to leverage data across systems (e.g., falls detection, engagement, visitation) to detect changes in condition earlier, improve care planning, and drive better outcomes and financial performance
- Support system selection, implementation, optimization, and training
Value-Based Care and Clinical Partnerships
- Provide oversight and accountability for value-based care initiatives and clinical partnerships (e.g., Curana and other ancillary services)
- Ensure clinical programs align with quality outcomes, reimbursement opportunities, and reduced burden on community teams

QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Nurse (RN) required; MSN preferred; multi-state licensure preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare
- Deep understanding of assisted living and memory care regulations, clinical operations and care delivery models, and compliance and survey processes
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulatory and clinical requirements into scalable operations, lead across multiple functions and influence without direct authority, and integrate technology and data into clinical workflows
- Strong business acumen with understanding of the relationship between clinical outcomes and NOI
WORK ENVVIRONMENT
- Anticipated travel of 50–75% of the time (local, regional, and company-wide) with the position preferably based in the company’s resource center in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
- Will at times work in a healthcare environment with potential exposure to infectious diseases transmitted via blood and bodily fluids and respiratory droplets.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee will perform activities that will require lifting of objects up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Salary
$165K - $175K plus bonus eligibility (Based on experience and qualifications)
