New Peak Direct Care is a new Personal Assistance agency rooted in the San Fernando Valley, serving individuals with developmental disabilities and their families through in-home and community-based support.
We're growing our team and looking for Direct Support Professionals who are passionate about their community and ready to do meaningful work. This is a role for people who lead with care, stay reliable under pressure, and want to be part of something being built the right way from the ground up.
What you'll do:
- Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including dressing, grooming, hygiene, and meal support
- Provide 1:1 support in the home and community following an established schedule and care plan
- Support individuals during community outings and appointments to promote social engagement and community integration
- Follow behavior support strategies under supervisor guidance
- Document sessions accurately and communicate observations to your supervisor
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment at all times
Requirements:
- Valid California driver's license and proof of auto insurance
- Must pass Live Scan fingerprinting and TB test clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)
- Reliable, professional, and comfortable working in a home setting
Preferred:
- Experience supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or other developmental disabilities
- Bilingual — Spanish or ASL a plus
- Familiarity with behavior support plans or ABA strategies
What we offer:
- $19–$21/hr depending on experience
