What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomy Instructor (Part-time-evenings) position at New Path Health Career Center, LLC?
New Path Health Career Center is looking to hire a dedicated Certified Phlebotomist to instruct the 6-week evening Phlebotomy Technician class. The Instructor is responsible for delivering quality education to help students develop the skills and knowledge required to obtain a passing score on the National Phlebotomy Exam and build the confidence to succeed as a Phlebotomist. Responsibilities include:
- Prepare customized course outlines, develop course content/teaching materials and deliver instruction to ensure an effective learning experience.
- Evaluate and record student performance/achievement in a timely manner and provide prompt feedback
- Follows approved curriculum standards and course syllabi.
- Advises and counsels students and maintains appropriate organization and order of student records.
- Attends scheduled meetings as required.
- Observes and enforces the school's policies and regulations.
- Provide competent laboratory instruction
- Demonstrates the use of appropriate testing and grading procedures including communication skills and knowledge of current procedures.
Requirements:
- Current CPT Certification and at least 2 years of work experience
- A high school diploma or GED
- Teaching experience highly preferred, but not required
- Willingness to travel to our facility and additional training sites as needed
Work Schedule: Part-time (evening) 10 - 12 hrs/week
Tuesday / Thursday / 5:00pm - 9:00pm
This is a contract and non-benefited position
