Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Assist with food handling, preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments with open table systems like OpenTable
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub exposure
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for efficient order processing and reservations management
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to multitask effectively while managing time in a fast-paced setting
- Culinary experience or background in food preparation is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling and cashiering tasks
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
