JOB DESCRIPTION
The Digital Marketing Specialist is a well-rounded marketer confident in supporting the management and execution of sales and marketing activities.
This role will include the creation, oversight, and execution support of client and internal marketing strategies.
A deep understanding of digital marketing channels, platforms, engagement tactics, and algorithms is required. This role is responsible for keeping up-to-date on current marketing trends and technologies, and working closely to bring creativity and tactical expertise into marketing and creative strategic planning on behalf of each client.
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for providing support in the overall execution of marketing strategy and supporting marketing team members in the development of brand narrative, email marketing campaigns, and content management.
An understanding of data analytics is required to measure, report, and advise on the success of our work and overall strategic direction.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage client accounts and communications, taking ownership of executing daily marketing responsibilities
- Work collaboratively across core areas of the business, including marketing, creative, and operations teams
- Supervise and develop talent within the marketing team
- Lead team meetings, workshops, or other activities, lead by example, and demonstrate company values
- Lead client growth by providing input, oversight, or creation of brand or marketing strategy
- Review, assess, and apply key insights from data and analytics to aid in client account development
- Account management and execution of digital tactics on websites, email marketing, social media
- Meet with company leadership to report, inform, and improve strategic decision-making
QUALIFICATIONS
We’re looking for an individual who is creative and passionate about using their talents for good. Here are some other qualifications necessary for someone to thrive in this role:
- General experience across a broad stack of tools and platforms, from Sprout Social to Hubspot, Mailchimp, etc.
- Adobe or Figma experience
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels and tactics
- Experience working with client accounts, including prompt, friendly, energetic communication
- Exceptional writing skills
- Demonstrate management proficiency and leadership skills
- Ability to project manage and/or work directly with clients
- Confidence and excitement in your creative ideas
- Great communication and attention to detail
- Certification in relevant industry tools and platforms a bonus

DETAILS
- Contract, potential to full-time hire
- $40 – $55 per hour
- 10-15 hours per week, increasing over time
- Hybrid, reporting to the Hartford office as needed to support team collaboration or client meetings.
- Experience 6-10 years required
