Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and safety-minded Pipe Welder to join our team. The Pipe Welder will be responsible for welding and assembling piping systems in accordance with project specifications, blueprints, and safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform pipe welding using the SMAW process on carbon steel and/or copper
- Weld in various positions according to safety procedures
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
- Fit and weld pipe and components to specified tolerances using appropriate tools and equipment
- Conduct visual inspections and quality checks to ensure weld integrity
- Install and repair various equipment and components
- Collaborate with pipefitters, foremen, and supervisors to execute projects efficiently and safely
- Operate grinders, torches, and other hand tools as needed for pipe preparation and finishing
- Maintain compliance with company safety protocols and OSHA regulations
Qualification requirements:
- Previous experience in industrial construction industry preferred
- 3 years of pipe welding experience
- Familiarity with welding tools, equipment, and procedures
- Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics
- Has full knowledge of hand and power tools
- Ability to read and understand English
- Valid Driver's License
