Surgical Scrub Tech (Orthopedic Surgery Center)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Orthopedic Surgical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Surgical Technician will play a critical role in assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room is prepared and maintained in accordance with strict safety and hygiene standards. This position requires a thorough understanding of surgical procedures, instruments, and techniques, as well as the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments. This is for a brand-new orthopedic surgery center, orthopedic experience required! We perform total joint replacements, arthroscopies, spine surgery, pain, and hand surgery. ORTHOPEDIC experience required. Must have an upbeat, positive, team-oriented, hard-working attitude.

Duties

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
• Ensure all surgical instruments are accounted for before and after procedures.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to surgical procedures.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to minimize the risk of contamination.
• Participate in the setup and breakdown of the operating room before and after surgeries.
• Stay informed about new technologies, techniques, and best practices in surgical care.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy.
• Proficiency in infection control practices within a surgical setting.
• Experience in Ambulatory Surgery Center is preferred.
• Experience in orthopedic surgery a must.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
• Able to anticipate the needs of surgeons and staff.

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
