- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms and public areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a spotless environment.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering strictly to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and janitorial tools to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct floor care activities like sweeping, mopping, and polishing to preserve the appearance and safety of all flooring surfaces.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies while following proper manual handling procedures for safety.
- Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures and emergency protocols to ensure guest safety and operational efficiency.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor at all times.
Requirements
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial work is highly preferred; familiarity with hotel emergency procedures is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in floor cleaning, industrial cleaning, and sanitation practices.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment operation and chemical agent handling to ensure safe and effective cleaning routines.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Understanding of hotel housekeeping management systems and janitorial experience is advantageous.
