Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Estimator at our location in New Orleans, LA. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for projects involving curtain walls, windows, and glass installations. Daily tasks include analyzing project plans, collaborating with clients and internal teams, creating accurate cost breakdowns, and providing detailed project proposals. The role requires excellent communication and organizational skills to ensure projects remain within scope and budget.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in cost estimation, project analysis, and bid preparation
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with estimation software
- Knowledge of construction practices, materials, and industry standards
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate estimates
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in the glass or construction industry is highly desirable
