Summary/Objective
This position is under the direct supervision of the Director of Fitness and is responsible for assisting members and guests with their fitness center and shopping needs. This position's schedule is Saturday/Sunday: 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Monday/Friday: 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. These shifts are variable.
Essential Functions

1. Answers telephones.
2. Greets and registers all members and guests.
3. Bills all service/usage fees and merchandise sales.
4. Keeps fitness center clean and orderly.

Work Environment
The Fitness Center Attendant operates behind the front desk in the Fitness Center and on the Fitness Center floor in a member services environment. The person in this role routinely interacts in a professional manner with both employees and members.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Saturday/Sunday: 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Monday/Friday: 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum 6 months experience in customer service.
- Computer literate. Must be able to use Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience working in a fitness center or other sports venue.
