Youth Behavioral Specialist – part time positions available.

New Morning Youth and Family Services (NMYFS) is a behavioral health organization specializing in providing treatment and support to the children of El Dorado County, CA. Since it’s founding in 1970, NMYFS has provided clinical counseling services to youth and families, victims of crime, foster youth, Latino/Spanish speaking families, substance use clients, and runaway/homeless youth.

The Positions: NMYFS is seeking a morning-shift weekends and graveyard Sunday and Mondays, on call Youth Behavioral Specialist positions available. Please only apply if you are available for the shifts posted.

Youth Behavioral Specialists (YBS) are responsible for maintaining an environment that is safe, comfortable, and therapeutic for children at our children’s shelter in Placerville, CA. Your work would be conducted on site at the Shelter as well as out in the community as needed. You would be providing individual and group support as well as case management and advocacy for children at the shelter. Light housekeeping, cooking and accurate documentation are some of the important aspects of this role.

We are looking for people who want to make a difference in the lives of kids, who are willing to work hard, be part of a growing dynamic team, and interested in growing in their knowledge of working with at risk youth.

Education: Bachelors degree preferred, but not required.

Experience: Experience working with children, adolescents and/or families preferred.

License/Certifications: Valid unrestricted Driver’s license.

Salary/Benefits:

· $16-21/hourly

· $2/hour shift differential between 10pm-6am

· 10% bilingual pay (Spanish only)
