PRODUCE CLERK Woodbury, CT Description Produce Clerk We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Produce Clerk to join our retail team. Key Responsibilities: Stock and replenish fresh produce items on the sales floor, ensuring displays are attractive and well-organized Inspect produce for quality, freshness, and safety, removing any damaged or expired items Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable and friendly service Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the produce area Rotate stock to ensure older items are sold first and minimize waste Follow safety procedures and proper handling techniques when working with fresh produce Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and maintain a positive shopping environment Skills and Qualifications: - Previous experience in produce, grocery, or retail environment preferred - Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights - Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality - Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team - Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices - Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Join our team and be part of a company that values quality, teamwork, and growth.
