Job Summary:
The Facility Cleaner is a Part Time position responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the facility in Farmington, New Mexico. Duties include cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, and common areas, as well as restocking supplies and ensuring a sanitary environment for employees and visitors.
Essential Functions:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors in designated areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and mirrors.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Wash and sanitize biological waste on exterior walkways.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures.
- Clean glass surfaces, windows, and doors.
- Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment.
- Respond to urgent cleaning requests and spills.
- Clear all foliage and debris from the front entrance, including entry carpet.
- Exterior maintenance including shrubbery, cobwebs, & weed control.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
Physical:
- Frequently sitting at desk or computer while typing, completing paperwork, or meeting patients.
- Occasional lifting/carrying, paperwork, files, office supplies, up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional push/pull exerting up to 5-10 lbs. force, opening doors, file drawers, pushing files in drawers
- Occasional kneeling/crouching and ability to reach lower file drawers, stretching to store or retrieving materials.
Mental:
Position requires constant mental alertness, attention to detail, and high degree of accuracy required. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and follow-through on all assignments. Must be able to work independently and be able to use sound judgment in critical clinical decisions.
