What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Welding Instructor position at New Mexico Junior College?
The Adjunct Welding Professor shall report to the Dean of Career and Technical Education. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Teach welding courses for NMJC students;
- Present welding demonstrations to groups and individuals as needed;
- Monitor and maintain NMJC welding labs, equipment, and classrooms to ensure that they are safe, operational, and sufficient to meet the needs of the students and college; administer and evaluate student assignments via face-to-face and online environments;
- Ensure student compliance with NMJC and OSHA safety policies and regulations for the welding program;
- Be willing to take part in both welding and instructor training as needed;
- Follow NMJC policies and procedures as published by the Faculty Handbook, college catalog, and current contract;
- Accept other duties as assigned by the Dean or program supervisor
- May serve on various campus committees as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required
- Nothing contained herein shall limit the President in assigning the employee to any of the various college activities for which he/she would be qualified in order to meet the needs of New Mexico Junior College.
- Have a competent level of knowledge and expertise in the general Welding field necessary to instruct welding classes, as determined by the institution.
- Must be able to interact with students, instructors, and supervisors in a mature, professional manner.
- Must be honest, prompt, and dependable.
