Incumbent will be responsible for preparing and cooking large quantities of food according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, and numbers of portions to be served.
How does it get done?
Accurately measures and mixes and prepares ingredients according to recipes using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment.

Patients/ Residents/ Clients/ Staff
Ideal Candidate
Ideal candidate will have:
Experience as a cook;
Experience with proper food temps;
Experience serving food to residents of a hospital or institution;
Experience cleaning and sterilizing kitchen, utensils, and equipment.
Minimum Qualification
No Prior Experience Or Training Required.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid NM Driver's License.
Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.
Working Conditions
This position will perform work in a hospital and office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Exposure to mentally and behaviorally challenged residents who may exhibit unpredictable and sometimes violent behaviors in volatile situations required. Effective 01/01/2015, New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute became a 100% Tobacco Free/ E-Cigarette Free Campus. As such, no tobacco, tobacco products or E-cigarette (products are permitted on any part of the campus. Department is Dietary. Work hours are 11:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
