Purpose of the Position
The Information Technology (IT) Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for managing and directing all information systems activities for a District Attorney’s Office, including associated satellite offices and/or large-scale statewide networks. This role ensures the stability, security, and efficiency of IT infrastructure, systems, and processes to support the mission-critical operations of the office.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and oversee all IT operations and activities across multiple sites or systems projects.
Design, implement, and manage local area networks (LANs) and ensure their ongoing maintenance.
Establish and enforce IT goals, objectives, standards, policies, and procedures.
Develop and oversee the information technology budget and strategic technology planning.
Monitor IT expenditures, manage vendor contracts, and ensure cost-effective procurement and deployment.
Incumbent will supervise other subordinate staff, providing direction, mentoring, and performance oversight.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex systems issues, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Collaborate with leadership to ensure technology initiatives align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
Travel as needed to support satellite locations and attend relevant meetings or events.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration with a technology emphasis or IT-related engineering or other directly related field.
Six (6) years directly related work experience and/or education in IT and IT management including two (2) years directly related work experience in information systems, database administration, andor systems design and analysis.
Preferred Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration with a technology emphasis, IT-related engineering, or other directly related field.
Eight (8) years directly related work experience and/or education in IT and IT management including four (4) years of directly related work experience in information systems, database administration, and/or system design and analysis.
