What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Jockey 2nd Shift position at New Market Poultry LLC?
- Safely bring live stock trailers and refrigerated trailer to the live dock and shipping dock.
- Know when to bring hens or roosters to the unloading area according to what is needed
- Accurately fill out scale house paperwork
- Immediately report accidents to the Garage
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day; free use of hands and free range of arm movement; ability to bend repeatedly at the waist for 8-10 hours per day; ability to safely walk to and in the plant; ability to properly wear personal protective equipment, sanitary equipment, and any other equipment necessary for certain departments; ability to work in all weather conditions (this is an outside job); ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to drive truck in a safe and timely manner.
- Able to follow directions
- Able to communicate with plant leaders
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment
- Ability to read and write in English
- Knowledge of Humane Handling and Procedures
