What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Tech 2nd Shift position at New Market Poultry LLC?
Key Responsibilities:
- Prevent food safety and foreign material incidents by working with operations.
- The ability to read and interpret written procedures as relates to poultry processing
- Perform Pre-operational Sanitation Inspection monitoring prior to production to ensure plant and equipment is clean
- Conduct monitoring and verification tests of product/process, including HACCP, SSOP, and GMP practices
- Maintain required documentation regarding daily operations
- Assist others in performing tasks when needed
- Establish working relationship with USDA
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to stand, talk, walk, and hear in a production environment; occasionally required to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust vision focus; work is performed in a production setting with moderate to intense noise levels; work is performed in a fluctuating temperature environment (typically 72 degrees to -10 degrees)
