2026-27 Head Color/Winter Guard Coach, New Mark Middle School

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A minimum of sixty college hours from an accredited college or university is required.
2. A valid Missouri Teaching Certificate is preferred.
3. Possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and physical attributes necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate or acceptable.

REPORTS TO:        Activities Director

JOB GOAL:  To help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and an increased level of self-esteem.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITES:

1. Organize and hold flag/auxiliary tryouts and select flag corps members.
2. Attend all band camp rehearsals and summer band camp.
3. Write all flag routines and coordinate them with the band director and the half time show.
4. Coordinate and attend all flag performances at home football games.
5. Provide routines and performance opportunities for four basketball games.
6. Attend Snake Saturday, Gladfest and homecoming parades.
7. Responsible for all flag equipment and uniforms.
8. Adheres to good safety practices.
9. Demonstrates effective human relations and communication skills.
10. Adheres to all district rules, regulations and policies.
11. Other duties as required or assigned.
