New Look Development is seeking an experienced In-House Residential Architect to become a key member of our growing luxury home building team.
Unlike a traditional architectural firm, you'll work directly for the builder, collaborating daily with ownership, project managers, construction professionals, and our design team from the earliest concept through final completion. You'll have the unique opportunity to see your designs become reality while helping shape the architectural identity of one of the East Valley's premier luxury home builders.

About the Role
As our In-House Architect, you'll lead the architectural design of luxury spec homes while working exclusively within New Look Development. You'll play an integral role in creating innovative floor plans, refining elevations, coordinating consultants, and ensuring every home reflects our commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and timeless design.
This is a collaborative, hands-on position where your ideas and expertise will directly influence the homes we build.
Responsibilities
- Design luxury spec homes from concept through construction documents
- Prepare complete permit-ready plan sets
- Work closely with ownership, project managers, interior designers, and construction teams throughout the entire building process
- Develop innovative floor plans and distinctive architectural elevations
- Coordinate with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consultants
- Ensure plans comply with Arizona building codes and local jurisdiction requirements
- Support the construction team by answering field questions and resolving design challenges
- Continuously improve our architectural standards and design library
- Help establish the future architectural vision of New Look Development
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect preferred (Arizona license or ability to obtain)
- 5 years of residential architectural experience
- Extensive experience designing luxury custom or luxury spec homes
- AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, or similar visualization experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods
- Knowledge of Arizona permitting and residential building codes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
