Typical Duties And Responsibilities
- Under supervision of a licensed teacher, sets up, distributes, and collects instructional materials.
- Assists in classroom management and instructional support of students.
- Supports the teacher with non-instructional tasks (e.g., supervision, organization).
- Participates in in-service training and professional development.
- Follows program rules, guidelines, and regulations.
- Performs related tasks as assigned by the teacher, principal, or designee.
- Associate's degree, 60 college credits, or High School Diploma with a passing score on the ParaPro Exam.
- Effective oral and written communication skills with students, staff, and parents.
- Such alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
