Job Summary
Assist with the maintenance of the physical facilities of the school district.
Essential Duties
Assumes primary responsibility for safe and efficient operation of equipment in the facilities owned and operated by the district.
- Examines district owned facilities on a regular basis for the purpose of preventive maintenance.
- Ability to paint, change filters, move furniture and perform upkeep on waste water plants.
- Keeps an inventory of parts that are frequently used.
- Attends training courses and engages in independent study as required.
- Performs such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as the Supervisor of Maintenance may assign.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required)
Unskilled position but physically able and willing to learn jobs pertaining to maintenance building and grounds. Must have the ability to read and understand work orders issued to them, and must have the ability to help keep records or inventory of supplies. Must be able to carry out simple work orders, such as mowing grass, picking up and delivering supplies, painting, etc. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
