We are seeking an enthusiastic professional to join our Fort Lauderdale Office team as a Litigation Floater, in the Business Litigation Practice Group.
This position requires attention to detail, a team approach to problem-solving, and enthusiasm for providing support and coverage for Legal Administrative Assistants across various departments to meet heavy workloads and during absences and vacations, ensuring seamless and consistent support to attorneys and staff.
Responsibilities include preparing and proofreading legal documents and correspondence, maintaining attorney calendars, answering phones, scheduling appointments, coordinating depositions, and interacting directly with clients. The Floater will also manage incoming and outgoing mail, review attorney bills, perform routine filing, and work closely with team members to ensure consistency in support across departments.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department environment. The hiring committee will also consider applications from college graduates looking for meaningful experience in a law firm environment. To succeed in the position, knowledge of Florida and Federal Civil Rules of Procedure is required, along with litigation and electronic filing proficiency. Must have strong clerical skills, written and verbal communication abilities, and proficiency in MS Exchange and Word.
