Role Description The Certified Hearing Aid Specialist is a part-time, on-site role based in Sugar Land, TX. This role is responsible for conducting hearing tests, interpreting results, and recommending appropriate hearing aid solutions tailored to each patient’s needs. Daily tasks include fitting and programming hearing aids, performing minor repairs and maintenance, educating patients and families on device use and hearing health, and documenting clinical findings accurately. The specialist will also provide personalized customer service, coordinate follow-up appointments, and collaborate with other hearing health professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Clinical hearing care skills in audiology, including experience with audiometry and administering hearing tests.
- Ability to assess and address speech and communication needs related to hearing loss.
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on empathy, patience, and clear communication.
- Current certification or licensure as a Hearing Aid Specialist in the state of Texas (required).
- Attention to detail and proficiency in maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
- Comfort with basic hearing aid troubleshooting, repairs, and use of related equipment and software.
- Ability to work independently in a clinical setting while collaborating effectively with a small team.
- Prior experience in hearing health care or a related clinical environment is preferred.
- Bi-lingual preferred.
- Computer skills a must.
