What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Clinician (Spanish/English) position at New Life Foster Family Agency?
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Possession of an advanced degree from an academic institution.
Licensure: Possession of a license to practice as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCCF), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences, or possession of a license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology.
Other: Two years of post-licensure experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting, other than a private practice, providing direct care. Training in trauma-focused and/or trauma-informed psychotherapy is preferred. Attainment of at least 21 years of age.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Performs a full range of therapeutic assignments related to the field of mental and behavioral health services and psychiatric social work as applicable by professional licensing laws. Coordinating clinical services, training staff, the Lead Clinician has responsibility for performing, within the scope of licensure, a full range of psychotherapy and counseling for individuals, couples, families, and groups exhibiting a variety of mental health and related disorders. Under direction of management, the Lead Clinician provides clinical and administrative supervision for assigned staff. Performs other related duties as required.
