Job Summary
To serve New Life Church by overseeing the development, implementation, and coordination of all adult ministries at New Life East, including but not limited to: men’s, women’s, groups, outreach, Alpha, Rooted, Formation Nights, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the New Life East adult ministries calendar is cohesive, thoughtful, and feasible.
- Plan and execute Men’s, Women’s, and Formation programs and initiatives in partnership with New Life East pastoral staff.
- Work with New Life East Outreach Coordinator to help groups engage with local and global serve pathways at New Life East.
- Develop robust and evergreen small groups program at New Life East.
- Serve as pastor and liaison for all group leaders (training, care, managing group dynamics, providing curriculum, etc.).
- Serve as primary voice and advocate for all adult ministries opportunities at New Life East.
- Assist in the general pastoral care of congregation.
- Preach and service host as requested.
- Communicate regularly with supervisor about departmental issues.
- Assist supervisor with special projects, events, and diverse tasks in support of the department.
- Attend department meetings, regular all-staff meetings and other meetings as required.
- Utilize a thorough understanding of New Life Church employee policies and procedures.
- Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment.
- Cooperate with leadership by performing any other duties when asked to do so.
Pastoral Duties
- Serve as Pastor on Call and Pastor on Site (as designated by each congregation), providing timely pastoral care, support, and crisis response as needed.
- Conduct pastoral visits to congregants in hospitals, homes, and care facilities, offering prayer, encouragement, and spiritual direction.
- Actively participate in worship services and ministry activities, including leading prayers, assisting in sacramental responsibilities, and supporting service flow.
- Provide biblical counseling and guidance to individuals and families, maintaining confidentiality and pastoral sensitivity.
- Collaborate with ministry teams and staff to foster congregational care, uphold church values, and support the overall mission of New Life Church.

Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in Biblical Studies, Theology or practical ministry preferred
Experience: A minimum of 5-8 years of experience working in a local church context developing ministry, preaching and teaching.

Physical Demands:
Regularly required to sit and occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Close visual acuity is necessary to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
