Job Summary
To serve New Life Church North campus with excellence by providing events set-up and tear-down services.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet with Team Leader at least bi-weekly.
- Perform set-up and tear-down of classrooms and multi-purpose rooms, which may include but is not limited to: 5’ and 8’ tables, folding chairs, stackable chairs, easels, podiums, whiteboards, round tables and other furniture or accessories.
- Clean and disinfect tables and chairs in preparation for an event.
- Move furniture and equipment into and out of the buildings.
- Remove and dispose of all trash from buildings.
- Open and close facilities according to reservations requests and campus calendar while monitoring lights, heat and air conditioning in order to ensure the comfort and safety of our guests, also coordinate needs of guests and interact with event participants.
- Perform snow removal by operating all necessary equipment.
- Respond to fire or security alarms as they occur. During work hours unless otherwise instructed.
- Run off-campus errands as requested.
- Assist with traffic control in parking lot as requested.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubber, carpet scrubbers, extractors, Kaivac and power washers.
- Perform general church cleaning duties as listed. These duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Vacuum Worship Center, hallways and the Student Center and remove all waste products from these rooms.
- Vacuum stairs and landings, as well as the upstairs and downstairs classrooms.
- Wash and disinfect tables and chairs in classrooms and kitchen.
- Shampoo carpets and light-duty stain removal on an as-needed basis.
- Dust furniture, counters, air vents, light fixtures, and other items daily or weekly as needed.
- Clean and polish as needed: Classrooms, large rooms, public areas and other areas, windows, baseboards, doors, door frames, doorknobs and handles, handrails, drinking fountains, and elevator as designated by Team Leader.
- Clean all restrooms, including toilets, walls, lavatories, mirrors and dispensers throughout the day and restocking products as needed.
- Mop floors.
- Spot-clean fingerprints and handprints on walls using proper procedure.
- Stock and maintain cleaning supplies inventories throughout the buildings on an as-needed basis.
- Inspect facilities, noting maintenance and repair needs and filling out Task Requests.
- Special projects as requested.
- Advance the Kingdom of God by representing Christ at all times in thought, action, and speech.
- Manage and respond to calls and emails as needed.
- Assist the department in coordinating various tasks and procedures.
- Communicate regularly with supervisor about departmental issues.
- Assist supervisor with special projects, events, and diverse tasks in support of the department.
- Attend department meetings, regular all-staff meetings and other meetings as required.
- Utilize a thorough understanding of New Life Church employee policies and procedures.
- Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment.
- Cooperate with leadership by performing any other duties when asked to do so.
NOTE: Job duties may be performed in an office environment, classroom, large multi-purpose room, kitchen, storage room or outdoors in any season. The use of ladders, carts, dollies and hand-trucks may be required.

Education and Experience
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience: Commercial events and/or housekeeping experience preferred; fully paid 2-3 week training is provided.

Physical Demands:
