We are hiring elementary teachers to join our Christian School, a ministry of New Life Baptist Church of Clinton, NC, with a rich 18 year history. Teachers will instruct multiple grade levels in small classes of fewer than 15 students, focusing on fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment aligned with Christian education principles. Our base salary starts at $25,000 per year, with opportunities for involvement in various extracurricular activities and weekly collaboration with fellow staff.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons tailored to multiple grade levels
- Implement and align curriculum with school standards
- Manage classroom behavior effectively and maintain a positive classroom environment
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Engage students to promote active participation and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and needs
- Maintain accurate records and monitor student behavior
- Collaborate weekly with staff to coordinate teaching efforts
- Support extracurricular activities occasionally as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in elementary education
- Strong classroom and behavior management skills
- Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning
