What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Infant Teacher position at New Life Child Care?
We’re looking for a caring and energetic Child Care Teacher to join our team! In this role, you’ll help nurture each child’s growth through creative learning experiences and compassionate care. You’ll support their intellectual, emotional, and social development while maintaining a fun, safe, and structured environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and follow a daily schedule of age-appropriate activities
- Create a balanced mix of educational and play-based learning opportunities
- Provide attentive care and ensure the safety and well-being of all children
- Observe and document children’s progress and share updates with parents
- Promote positive social interactions and problem-solving skills
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
- Follow all childcare licensing and safety standards
Requirements
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education (preferred, but not required — we’ll train the right person!)
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods
- Patient, creative, and passionate about working with children
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- CDA certification (preferred but not required)
Schedule
- Part-Time: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM
- Expected Hours: 23 hours per week
