What are the responsibilities and job description for the Processing Associate - I-502 Cannabis position at New Leaf Services (Dama)?
We are a Cannabis processor looking to expand our processing crew. Our mission is to consistently provide some of the highest quality cannabis on the market. To achieve this goal, we need high energy individuals with the ability to multi-task and change directions quickly. A passion for cannabis and the willingness to learn new skills will put you at the top of the list of candidates.
We are looking for hard working, reliable, driven individuals, with good communication skills, who like working with a team to accomplish goals and are willing to work in other areas of our facility (Trim, Packaging, Joints, etc).
We will be scheduling interviews with potential candidates immediately.
THIS POSITION MAY ENTAIL THE FOLLOWING:
- Packaging: Processing and building finished goods packaging (preparing bags, labeling/stickering, weighing out bags, heat sealing).
- Processing: Helping with harvesting, prepping, shucking, examining material to ensure quality standards are met, trimming of cannabis following company SOP's.
- Joints: Precision weighing, packing and folding of pre-rolls, packaging all products.
- Cleaning and upkeep of personal workspace and tools.
- Assist with daily clean-up of Packaging, Processing, and other work areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Edibles: Working in our commercial kitchen producing cannabis edibles and beverages. This department is a growing segment of our business.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 21 years old and have reliable transportation
- Must be able to trim at least 1.5lbs of flower in an 8-hour shift.
- Must have excellent attendance and professionalism
- Ability to focus during repetitive tasks. Hand and finger dexterity required for extended periods
- Consistent hand-eye coordination and excellent attention to detail
- Demonstration of solid math/reasoning skills, and takes initiative when performing daily tasks
- Must be a team player with a strong spirit of cooperation and ability to communicate
- Must be willing and able to follow Standard Operating Procedures accurately and adapt to changes in processes as we grow
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check (excluding marijuana related charges)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS
- Minimum 1 year of previous I-502 cannabis production experience (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of Production/Manufacturing experience (required)
- Previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in WA licensed facilities
- Basic knowledge of cannabis
- High School Diploma or GED required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and WORKING CONDITIONS
- Schedule will be Monday-Friday (7:30am-4:00pm)
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus
- Must be able to perform and maintain focus on their tasks without being distracted by noise, other departments working in close proximity to them
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, lifting, walking, standing, some bending/crouching, stretching, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions
- May require working rotating shifts with varied hours/day
