Duties
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness and availability for food preparation and service
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, or portioning items under supervision
- Support the kitchen team in bussing tables and clearing plates during busy service periods
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness by cleaning workstations, floors, sinks, and storage areas regularly
- Help with basic food handling duties in accordance with safety and hygiene regulations
- Support catering events or banquet setups by organizing supplies and assisting with light food service tasks
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment use to ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, catering, or food service environment is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Familiarity with kitchen operations including dishwashing, cleaning procedures, and basic food prep is advantageous
- Experience with banquet or large event setups is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
