Our organization is seeking Direct Support Staff to serve as mentors for adults who need assistance with daily living skills, safety, and community integration. Experience is not required, as all training is provided. A successful candidate will be dependable and flexible and will enjoy having the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- In a 2 week pay period, week 1 works from: 9/10pm-8/9am on Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun, & week 2 works from: 9/10pm-8/9am on Wed, Thur, Friday.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to identify services that meet consumers' needs and establish individual service plans.
- Provide culturally competent and sensitive care to consumers.
- Use observation skills when interacting with consumers to help identify their wants and needs.
- Recognize when there is a problem that requires intervention.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.57 per hour
